Jeff Loomis "JLV" New Signature guitar for 2012

Jeff Loomis, the solo guitarist used to play for band nevermore has lunch the new signature model “JLV”. It’s available in both 6 and 7 string version in total 3 different model lists below. (Also available in Left-handed version)

• JLV – 7 NT (7 string with Set Neck w/ Ultra Access)
• JLV -7 FR (7 string with Floyd-Rose bridge)
• JLV -6 FR (6 string with Floyd-Rose bridge)

     Features

Loomis Signature

Neck -
3-pc Maple
Made with 3 pieces of maple for extra stability. 3 piece necks can withstand the test of time. Where standard necks may show aging defects from temperature and moisture changes throughout the years, the 3 piece neck will stay nice and straight for a lifetime of playability.

Pickups -

EMG Active 707

The 707 has been leading the pack of 7-string guitar pickups since its debut in 2001. Before this model was introduced, existing 7-string pickups sounded muddy and dull on the low B string, especially when trying to hit artificial and natural harmonics, but the 707 eliminated all those problems. Featuring Alnico V loaded wide aperture coils we were able to beef up that Low B tone and at the same time provide a more responsive super tight overall sound.

Finger Board -

Maple

Very bright and dense, Maple is highly reflective. When used on a fretboard, Maple encourages tremendous amounts of higher overtones and its tight, almost filtered away bass favors harmonics and variations in pick attack.

Tuners -

Schecter Locking

Schecter Locking Tuners feature a locking screw pin to lock the string into place for greater tuning stability. Details include a 19:1 gear ratio allowing for precise fine tuning adjustments, removable knobs, threaded peghead bushing, and a 10mm diameter peg hole.

     Let's see what it's sound.

This song Jeff Loomis is guest solo for Keith Merrow album.
